Fellowship with others who enjoy apologetics!
Saturday, February 11! We meet on the second Saturday every month, 10 am to noon, at Golden Technology, 7681 Tylers Place Blvd. West Chester, OH 45069.
Here's What to Expect!
Our Saturday fellowship meetings are two hours of focused discussion and warm, personal fellowship among people who share an interest in apologetics. We usually have a speaker, but never a lecturer. Talks are for the purpose of opening up interactive discussion.
Special for February: Live Podcast, Interaction Following with Intelligent Design Expert Jonathan McLatchie
This month we'll be producing a podcast there, live, for broadcast on the Discovery Institute's ID the Future podcast. Tom Gilson will host it from here in Ohio. Coming in by video will be Jonathan McLatchie, a Ph.D. biologist from the U.K. and a Fellow with the Discovery Institute. He's going to be part of the Dallas Conference on Science and Faith week after next. He's actually a Christian apologist with an extraordinarily broad range of interests and skills. He leads a very interesting ministry called Talk About Doubts that some members of the Fellowship are involved with.
The interview will go for 30 minutes or so, with video running, but only the audio gets broadcast. Then it's group discussion time. We can all ask him questions, converse among ourselves, etc. Or in other words, it's the usual short discussion-starter talk with interaction to follow, yet with an obvious twist to it.
Who should come?
Anyone should come! Anyone with an interest in apologetics, including those who have many more questions than answers. We like questions here! Questions for learning, discovery, probing, even pushing back when it's for the purpose of better understanding, all that is very welcome.
We have members from multiple churches, and with apologetics experience ranging from apologetics beginner through published authors and conference speakers.
We love questions — the harder the better! So please come with your questions. Remember, though, please that we are a fellowship of believers and sincere questioners. We're there to probe and discover new things together. If your purpose instead is to have an adversarial-style debate, please use the contact form and we'll consider scheduling a public debate between one of our leaders and you.
We hope to see you there!
